The Ovation® Multichannel Pipette has an ergonomically-correct, comfort-driven design with electronic functions to meet the complex demands of repetitive procedures. Straightforward, simple programming coupled with reliable, consistent accuracy and precision ensures the integrity of your work is always achieved with uncompromised confidence.

Ergonomically-correct pipetting = Less effort, more comfort. Ovation pipettes are designed for ergonomically-correct pipetting – it’s shape naturally follows the contours of the palm, and allows the task of pipetting to be performed with a neutral posture and minimal muscular movement. Low hand and arm elevations ease stress in the shoulder and neck, and a stress-free wrist angle eliminates uncomfortable extension and radial deviation movements in the arm. Force, velocity and exertion from repetition or duration have also been neutralized. Pipetting is inherently a labour-intensive, repetitious task – but it doesn’t have to be fatiguing or painful. That’s something you can change with Ovation - the comfortable choice.

Acquire every tip – EVERY TIME: Positive feedback indicates every tip is securely seated and sealed – no manual manipulations are needed

Discard every tip – EVERY TIME: An energy-release system uses the force captured during acquisition to simultaneously discard all tips – at the gentle push of a button

Easy set-up and use of all functions: Multiple Dispense, Pipette, Reverse Pipette, Mix and Serial Dilute operations are available at user-selectable settings

Effortless push-button controls: Select liquid handling functions with just a single keystroke, including recall of stored volume settings

Quantica® has been designed with the advantage of having an open architecture and chemistry format that allows the end user full flexibility of the methods and research they wish to pursue.

Quansoft® Software and Reporting: Accompanying Quantica® is our easy-to-use, flexible software Quansoft®, which gives you the freedom to see your raw data, choose your disposables and choose your own chemistries!

Here’s just some of the things you can finally do with Quansoft®:

ability to create, modify and save files using Quansoft® while a program is running on the unit

ability to run without initially defining your plate layout and analysis criteria – just pop a prepared plate in & run a program

ability to export unprocessed, raw data

install Quansoft® on multiple PCs without paying a license fee (only a simple registration is required)

ability to change from first order derivative to fit points in results analysis

Features

Solid state white light source and PMT (photomultiplier tube) detector gives an impressive excitation range of 470nm to 650nm and a detection range of 500nm to 710nm.

Multiplex – multiple wavelengths are detectable per sample using up to four paired excitation and emission filters housed in individual cartridge systems.

Wide dynamic range – up to at least 9 orders of magnitude from starting copy number and high sensitivity, detecting down to 1nM fluorescein and single copy templates, depending upon the assay.

Heated Lid

The flexible optical heated lid system is designed to minimize loss of sample and prevent sample condensation. Temperature controlled, it allows further method optimization where pre-incubation stages may be required (e.g. in reverse transcription techniques) or where changes in the heated lid characteristics are needed during the different stages of a program run.

Warranty: 2 years

Made in the USA.

The Paraffin Section Mounting Bath is designed to assist with the handling of paraffin wax samples in histology and pathology laboratories. It is essentially a hot distilled water floating out bath that allows for the meticulous manipulation and location of paraffin wax sections onto glass slides.

A white neon light indicates “Power On” and an amber neon light indicates “Heater On”. The required temperature is selected using the heater dial and a nominal temperature of 70°C is typically achieved with 2 litres of water within 120 minutes.

Accurate water temperature is then maintained through an energy regulator which supplies power to a silicone rubber mat in controlled timed pulses. Over-heating of the bath is prevented by a thermal fuse within the heater mat which automatically cuts out at too high a temperature.
